runner on third and less than two outs. Batter hits a fairly deep fly ball to right field, easily deep enough to score the runner from third. Right fielder drops the ball. Run scores (obviously) and batter reaches first base. If RF catches ball, batter gets an rbi and does not get charged an at bat (sac fly). But since RF dropped ball, batter reaches base by error and IS charged a time at bat?? Doesn't seem fair. Also does batter still get the RBI? Can one of you scoring experts clarify? Thanks.
