So my daughter 16 has been using the Wilson A2000 mitt for years and owns 2. She loves her 2018 model but after a season with the 2021 she feels it’s too big. Everyone says her 2018 shrunk and looks significantly smaller. She now wants the 33” custom HOH closed web mitt but without trying one first will it be too small? She tried a friends 33” open web HOH and liked the fit but is the pocket smaller on the closed web as it’s a totally different design from the A2000. I’d appreciate any advice before ordering.
This is what she has picked out just debating on size. https://gloves.custom.rawlings.com/design/1bd6017b
Shes also bummed all her favorite quotes are over 15 characters.
Her pitchers all throw 60+ with lots of spin.

My DD has a custom HoH catcher's mitt. Her's is a 33" with the H web. She regularly catches pitchers around 60+ as well, no sting ever she says. She absolutely loves the mitt. Personally we've not seen one with the closed web but looking at it I could see how it may catch shallower. Other's more experienced may be able to comment about that. There's a thread here for my DD's mitt if you wanted to search it up.

I catch with a 34" Liberty Advanced solid web, and the pocket is the same as the H web.
