Please do not try to take any plays or rules you see in NCAA and apply them to any club, rec or high school softball. NCAA rules have moved so far away from every other rule set in the last 10 years it is barely softball anymore. A prime example is the video just posted in the over running 1st base thread. The rule in NCAA is completely different than every other rule set.
There is a published list of rules differences between the various rule sets. The list would actually be much shorter to list the rules that are still the same rather than what is different. Strikes, balls, fair, foul and outs are about the only basics that cross over anymore.
