Practicing Hitting a Baseball

The way things are working out 10U DD will be spending more of the off season hitting a baseball then a softball. Any big downside to this?

I take my 11yr old to the cages at the local miniature golf park. She gets to swing at 12 balls for $1. She starts at the 40mph cage and works up to the 55mph, all baseballs. Doing this has really helped her to hit the ball hard and as her coaches say, she has fast hands.

My DD is 5'1" and if she's fully dressed and we hose her down, she might be 80#'s.
