Probably so.

I mentioned this earlier this year. Kelly Jurden with TLU broke the D3 career stolen base record in her 5th year this year.. Melissa Livermore (UTD) set the SB record a few years ago. She was attending a game this spring the day after Jurden broke her record. I told her. Hey kid sorry about your record. She had no idea. She also didn't understand the the covid year stats counted as well. Will there be an * by these records?

players in college sports play different numbers of games in general through no fault of their own (scheduling, postseason, etc)

I think she broke it in less games than Chamberlain played..somebody can correct me if I am wrong. Somebody mentioned their HR/PA was about the same.

Here's what I could find on the stats between the two of them.

Alo: 651 AB, 96 HR, 224 GP.
Chamberlain: 607 AB, 95 HR, 220 GP.

I just spent the last week watching Kelly Jurden at the D3 WCWS. She is a great player but at no point in watching her run did I think wow is that girl fast. I and several others were left wondering how she stole so many bases. Did we just not appreciate how fast she really is?

Here's what I could find on the stats between the two of them.

Alo: 651 AB, 96 HR, 224 GP.
Chamberlain: 607 AB, 95 HR, 220 GP.

Alo has a little more. I'm finding 117 homers in 753 AB in 261 GP. Alo has about 950 plate appearances to Chamberlain's 850 and has hit 22 more homers. She got those extra 24 games in 2020 and hit 8 HR that year.

Also, Chamberlain walked 207 times to Alo's 153 in the time it took her to break Chamberlain's record.

Her body type does not indicate base stealer! TLU plays on turf and their style is run run run run and then run. Their conference is also pretty weak. That's why they have to play a strong out of conference schedule. Pitching and speed is their strength.

Yes, Chamberlain was. And she stole about 40 bases in her college career.
