im really surprised nobody mentioned burning them with cigarette lighters...

im going thru this too. somehow we must survive. does anyone else's dd just think "its going to come to them during a game"? as in, no practice needed, or they whine the whole time? at what point do you throw in the towel??? i try to keep things light and fun, but pitching is work, and they need to realize that. injury is a risk otherwise.

Since we are using analogies, I am all for letting them "sink or swim."

When DD was a teen and didn't want to work on pitching, I went ahead and worked with other girls. Surprisingly, I never went alone. DD seemed to always be in the car. hmmm.
