I coached against a team in 12U where the head coach led the parents in being a douche bag. Parents were horrible to every team they played. They would laugh at girls if they were almost hit by a foul ball, if they made an error they were relentless. The coach after one game had his girls walk backwards to "slap hands". I pulled my girls off the field and had a few words with the umpires since the coach wouldn't walk across the field. One of the umps was a board member for the association and neither of them did anything about the parents all game long.

We experienced a bad situation in Little League Minors a couple of years ago. DD was just learning how to pitch. She threw hard, but she was still pretty wild and walked more batters than anything else. There was a game she was pitching and she hit a girl in the helmet and the batter's father got up and threw himself against the fence yelling at DD that if she did that again, she was going to have to deal with him. That whole game got very ugly afterwards and the guy was asked to leave the complex, the police were called in, and the game was called. It took every ounce of restraint I had not to go over and just unload on the POS father who thought he was going to scare a 10 year old little girl because of a wild pitch. I still get mad when I think about that night.

you would hope a team's own coaches, parents and/or fans would police that type of behavior.....any sane dude should tell someone from their cheering section to "shut upon" and "don't do that again" on their own.....I know I would.

Coaches have to police this too....we had a male parent stand and clap while yelling sarcastically "nice play, that was awesome" to our SS after she committed an error late in a tight ball game....we (HC and me) both stepped out of the dugout at the same time and started pointing at him and walking towards him shouting "we ain't going to put up with that" to the other dug out....dude sat down real fast and he got his arss chewed pretty dang hard by the other HC right then and there.....

Last year, metros championship Game. My DD was in the circle pitching her third game of the day.start of the first inning this giant woman started clucking like a chicken walking in circles and chanting directly at my dd. this ladies team got a hit she would start in with the "we got a hit on you, we got a hit on you. No let up inning after inning. This ladies DD would step on our players feet and basically try intimidating all our baseman. chicken ladies DD on third goes to steal home on a delay, my DD sees it and fires home. the catcher goes to tag her and after the collision on the plate ends up on to of chicken ladies DD. chicken ladies dd immediately starts swinging at my Daughters catcher. My DD rushes the plate the umpire breaks it up. Bottom of seven, chicken lady going full steam with the chanting and clucking. , two outs tying run on second.guess who comes up to the plate. chicken ladies DD, My DD goes up 0-2.by now my DD and her Battery mate are fuming . count Goes full.DD throws a low rise Batter gets way under it. catcher spins around, dives for the ball and snow cones it at the backstop for the final out. Now my DD is never one to back down from a street fight and is really protective of her Catcher.so during the High five line as chicken ladies DD goes by My DD tells her Karmas a B#$tch. Chicken Ladies DD immediately ran to her massive clucking mom shouting #6 called me a B#$tch. The next thing we know this lady is in our Dugout swinging an Umbrella screaming where is #6.the whole team bailed and went out into center field. They had to present the trophy in center field.6-10 relative and dads from the other team were making there way to our side of the diamond. It was about to go all medieval when the police showed up and had to escort us to our cars. What a day. Metro champions and police action all in one.Would never want it happen again but my DD and I will chuckle about this day till they plant me.

Some folks are just ate up with dumb rear disease.

My daughter has never backed down from folks either and I am sure glad we have not seen anything remotely to chicken lady. Worse she has had was some teenage boys on other team taunting and she went to the fence after the inning to tell them to shut up or get a softball to the face. Now the other daughter that does not play has tried to slip in the dug out to get a bat before...she said some folks needed to be knocked out.

Had a coach so mad at the world that he punched a 14yo girl in the face in the high five line. Whether she said a smart remark or not to him he was in the wrong.

Girls went crazy and an asst had to drag that coach off the field as he wanted to fight the girls.

He was arrested. Good riddance.

Managed a LL team, boys majors. Had a dad who would clap and say nice at bat after a strike out. Would heckle my catcher, ball got by him. Nice job blocking... All game long. He would talk to the batters while they were in the box telling them what they were doing wrong... Finally I had enough and before the next game I told him I didn't want to hear a peep out of him, no comments after Ks, no talking to my players in the batters box and no talking to the catcher. His wife got all in a huff and started spitting and sputtering. Then I invited him to my side of the fence. They both shut up and I never heard another peep out of him. Oh and his son was on my team and he was my catcher. The guy never said boo to a kid on another team, but heckled his son and his son's team all game long.

When an adult male punches a 14 yo in the face, and only he goes to jail, someone is doing it wrong. There should have been multiple arrest for assault. JMO

Some people just don't know that this game is for the kids not the parents. The sad thing about this is that parents do it and some kids think it's ok, so they do it as well.
