The only one that has me a bit boggled is Oklahoma. You go 1-4 last weekend and are still in the top 10?

Oklahoma lost to UCLA, Hawai'i (hey, where did that apostrophe come from?), Georgia, and Long Beach State. Three were very good teams, but losing is still losing.

Last year UCLA (#1) had a 50-11 record and Arizona (#2) had a 52-14 record. Losses happen, it's too early to tell where they'll end up.

There are half as many games played in the basketball season as the softball season, so I guess that makes sense.
