Mizuno 32.5" Prospects Catcher Mitt break-in

How much is the Prospects mitt broke in when purchased new? My DD has a Mizuno Prospects 12" and it was not too hard to break it in, but wondering about the catchers mitt. If it is difficult to break in to game ready, I may just buy used...any thoughts?

She needs it game ready at the end of next week, that was why I thinking she needed a used glove...but maybe we take our chances with a new one. Thanks!

Don't over do it. Just break in the heel and web. Its super easy. Get it warm and add lexol

I bought a new Mizuno Prospect mitt, 20 minutes of messing with it, and her passing ball with it in warm up, and then using it in practice and that mitt is 95% broke in. Not many issues...not like I was expecting. It is game ready. Hopefully my DD is LOL

I would just play catch with it. You can overdue that glove very quickly.

Catch is all it is going to get from now on...hopefully it last for two years or possibly longer. Maybe DD #3 can use it in two years, who knows.
