FWIW- I am a convert and that's why I'm so overwhelmingly in favor of masks.

In our organization, we have a pitcher who is a Junior. She pitches 67-69mph, has a 5 year ride to USF, and wears a mask.

5 year ride? I knew that was being considered by NCAA but news to me that it took effect.

Of course, that may be the offer contingent on NCAA approval.

That is normal. But what if she stinks it up? Saying she will not lose the ride? That would be very unusual.

I really don't know. Maybe it just applies to injury and not lack of performance. And truthfully, the only part I know 100% is that she is verballed. The rest is 2nd hand info.

It's an evolution thing. In a ten years people will say something along the lines of "You remember back when softball fielders didn't wear masks?"

A long time ago people swore that the earth was flat too.
