Depends on the size of your daughter. IF she's not used to using her legs a lot she may be in trouble if she's all arm. My daughter is tall and lanky (long arms and legs with big hands) and we started doing 12U tournaments 6 mths before making the transition to 12U last Fall and that helped her a bunch. 12U girls can hit fastballs and I would work on a good changeup and hitting her spots with the fastball.
Do long toss! This will help her increase her arm strength.
I always move the bucket back when my DD isn't looking so sometimes she's throwing at 43 ft and doesn't know it. Good luck with the transition.
