I’ll leave it to others who are deeper into the bio-mechanics of softball pitching, but that does not track with my understanding of the kinematic sequence (which is happening in context of linear energy being redirected into rotational energy):

1. Hips (seek stride foot angle and stop)
2. Shoulders (lag hips creating stretch reflex; ultimately seek hip angle and stop)
3. Upper arm (rotates internally and compresses against rib cage at about 8 o’clock)
4. Lower arm (rotates internally and whips through the release zone, including brush contact from about 8 o’clock to 6 o’clock)
5. Forearm/hand internally rotate (pronate) after release and arm unloads

Yeah. Traps has it more correct.
This guy’s interpretation was off.
Good then trunk / shoulders then arm , elbow, forearm , fingers.

The whole straightening of the arm I would suggest disregard big league. Ha

Agree with Traps, but would add there is little extension in the fastpitch delivery. The arm maintains flexion throughout release.

In his defense, he did have the ball up at 9:00 - the motion at the end while sitting seemed more natural then when he was standing.
