I keep seeing memes stating NFHS has approved crow hoping. Is that true?

No. Push foot doesn't have to stay in contact with the ground anymore, but it cannot replant which defines the crow hop.

So push foot doesn't have to toe drag anymore? So if push leg is off the ground and doesn't make contact with the ground prior to release it's a legal pitch.

Yes, that's my understanding. Hoping for confirmation from someone that knows all the sanctions.

So, that would make "leaping" legal ? I doubt it, but who knows ?

Leaping was legalized in USA and USSSA for 2023, and in NFHS for 2024. NCAA is likely soon to come (the committee has made the recommendation).

Crow hopping is still illegal and will likely be called even less than it was. Sorry, sarcasm there.

Leaping (not Crow Hopping) legally allowed now in NFHS. It was announced last week.
