DD has been working on the timing of her leg drive per BM and others' much appreciated advice. Now she looks better in the beginning... but still looks like she is getting on top of the ball from 12:00 down:

JD.........Remember this post?:

FATAL FLAW

You should re-read it........It was ALL ABOUT your DD's fatal arm circle.........Which could not be easily fixed until her leg drive timing was corrected........

Her leg/arm sync timing is much improved.......It was important to improve that so her hips would open sooner........WHY?.......So she could then focus on correcting the FATAL FLAW in her arm circle............

Lets review..........Again..........

Your DD does NOT get her hand on top of the ball SOON ENOUGH..........IE when the ball is still in front of her..........When her arm is at the top of the circle.........The ball is STILL facing the wrong direction...........Again.......Notice AS faces the ball inward initially to start.........But BEFORE her arm passes her face.........She's turned it DOWN/FORWARD.........Getting her hand on top the ball BEFORE it hits the top..........

Remember this comp?

I told you that if her arm is bent over her head.......With the ball facing the oppo shoulder at the top.........She will have NO CHOICE but to over-rotate her arm to relieve the stress on her shoulder going over the top, which will put her on top of the ball by 9:00 behind her...........

Now that you have her leg timing improved, and her hips open earlier..........You MUST eliminate the FATAL position of her arm at the top.........You MUST stop the shoulder rotation over the top of the circle...........

In this new clip.........Your dd appears to be doing something WORSE then facing the ball inward all the way to the top........I looks like she actually PUSHING the ball up the circle with her hand UNDERNEATH the ball...........Why is this worse??? Because it causes even MORE shoulder rotation to repair the position of the ball. This rotation is resulting in putting her hand on top the ball in the back..........

Bottom line........You MUST get rid of the shoulder rotation (arm rotating in the socket) over the top of the circle..........

The ONLY way to do this is GET THE BALL/HAND/ARM in the right position BEFORE the top of the circle.........The ball should be facing the catcher with her hand on top of the ball BEFORE the arm passes her face...........And it should STAY THAT WAY over the top......With her hand PULLING THE BALL up and over. and down the backside.........WITH NO SHOULDER ROTATION...........

See the next post...........

This young lady worked on exactly the same thing........Look at the clip on the left (like your DD) compared to the clip on the right.......There is ZERO shoulder rotation in the clip on the right.........
