Ok, we've never had to do it before, but yesterday my DD was pretty sore. Saturday she pitched at least 2 innings of every game we played (5 games on the day) so at least 10 innings. She hasn't pitched in a game in about a month, just been pitching once a week at pitching lessons, so maybe she is sore from being dormant for a month. Yesterday she sat with a heating pad on her shoulder and forearm for about 20 minutes and that didn't seem to help, I gave her Ibuprofen and rubbed icy hot on her arm and that didn't seem to help either. Today she is a little bit better but says it still hurts.
To ice or not to ice, that is the question. Should we have iced her shoulder and forearm immediately after the last game? During the tournament? What does everybody do here that seems to help minimize the soreness the next day? Like I said she's never been sore after a tournament before until now, after not playing for a month.
