Update on pitch calling. Finally we have gotten some good weather and have been able to get on the field and play a few games. We missed 2 straight weeks of games due to weather and DD was able to spend some time with the pitch calling watching our girls batting in the cage and talking about how they would both approach pitching to them. Thankfully our coach is open to talking and learning along with my DD on how to get better and Is willing to adjust to the strengths of her players. Comunciation seems to have worked this time. Each game has gotten better with the pitch calling and DD is gaining more confidence in her calls and coach is gaining more confidence in DD abilities. Tonight against one of our toughest rivals, which is one of the better hitting teams that we play, Not one high fastballs was called, anything up in the zone was a riseball. Changeups are being called much more and totally unpredictable. Reward tonight was only giving up 4 dink singles with 8 KO's, pretty much a dominating performance. Amazing how winning seems to cure all evils. Starting to look forward to the next couple years.
