DD has been working thru some issues in her swing lately - lots of changes. She was hitting great last week and saw her hitting coach this week and started working on several issues. Last night at her team practice she was not hitting well - this happens for her when she over thinks things. She is so focused on making the changes she is working on that all she does is focus on them and then she doesn't hit well. Anyway, one of her coaches kept saying - "your bat is dead". I don't think this is the case - there are no cracks or rattles, or other signs of it being damaged. I think it is just her overthinking - but now she is hyperfocused on her bat being "dead" too. So how do we know?
She has had this bat for about a year. LS LXT - so it's a good bat. She could use a new one, but her hitting coach wants her to hold off moving up in size until we've worked thru some of her swing issues. Thoughts?
