Ok so I think sometimes a player should slow the swing down and get the feel of fixing an issue to work on mechanics. DD's hitting coach is against this and says it creates a slow game time swing. I understand if all your doing is slow but we go hard in every session that I work with her and her swing has gotten so much harder lately.

What do u guys think about slow the swing down a few times?

DD's hitting coach would do a similar drill where she would break down components of the swing at a slightly slower speed to feel what happens when. But not the whole swing at a slower speed.

If you're just doing a slow swing for illustrative purposes to get the feel, and then going back to executing at full speed, I'm not sure how this would hurt her. I wouldn't recommend numerous buckets going slow though.
