Heavy drag foot

I'm looking for a way to lighten up DD's drag foot. She starts on the side of the big toe and then the foot lie on its side. Her drag has always seemed a bit lazy and heavy to me and when she starts to get tied it hangs back. Is there some type of drill to work on this.

Have her take her drag foot shoe off. She'll figure it out pretty fast pitching with just a sock on that foot.

Figure four drills can help, if she already pitches in that style, if not, it's not worth changing for just the sake of doing the drill.
