We try to get to this balance point so that the drive leg can actually drive the hips forward. Most pitcher that have the foot turned backwards or flopped over , use momentum from the stride leg to pull the drive leg. This gives the appearance of driving out but it’s not as efficient as it can be. The adjustment she made is a big step in the right direction. When she loads , try and put the weight over the 3 little toes to create a more stable foot and ankle, loading on the big toe side is not as stable.
