DD1 has been getting the "pitch and sit" for the last couple of seasons in 16u and it has been driving us batty.

We have 2 pitchers on our travel team. Both bat every game, but only pitch. Both are good hitters.

Yea, we were talking about this same subject this past weekend.


My dd usually hits. Went 0-4 in two games came back in third game went 2-2. Plus she pitches. Did the bad circle time carry over to the plate. Or should I say, does it? Maybe? She didn't pitch last game and went 2-2 so maybe it does?

It's funny I got to thinking about the various teams were have been on. A few were very good hitters, but I can't think of one that
was even an average fielder. The ones that played when not pitching were the ones who could really hit.

I have a top student at 12U rec. She gets hit by a pitch, way too often. It just can't be intentional. ??? There is no way, to protect her. Everyone bats.
