Her team was short a pitcher for Rising Stars this weekend. She is still nursing a sore knee, but stepped up big time for her team.

Friday night- 4 scoreless innings in a shut out win
Saturday- 6 innings in the opening game, 1 run scored on an error. Got the win. Game 3 pitched complete game 7 inning shut out, for her second win of the day.
Sunday- Got the ball again. 5 Scoreless before coming out. Got the win again.

Overall she pitched 22 innings and only gave up the 1 unearned run. Went 4-0 on the weekend. She wanted the ball in the 5th game, but the coach wouldn't give it to her.

Saw plenty of college coaches this weekend. She sent her emails out and has been communicating what little she can. It is frustrating as the parent of a freshman. You have no idea what is really happening with the recruiting. Have to rely on TB coaches relaying info. Very proud of her fighting through the knee issue and pitching so well in such a big event. There were plenty of good teams in Florida this weekend.

Congratulations! Always warms your heart when your DD performs well in front of college coaches!

This year our TB team designated one of our assistant coaches "recruiting coordinator", to help offload some of the recruiting responsibilities from the head coach. The recruiting coordinator is also in the stands and behind the backstop talking with college coaches during the game - something the head coach is unable to do since he is in the dugout.
