glove recommendation - mainly pitcher, 3B & 1B when infield

I guess the question I have is a glove that plays 12.25" big enough for 1B in softball?

And that's a fair question, and generally the answer would be no, but for her age it would definitely work. My NP6 H-web is somewhat a strange animal, it's nothing pattern wise close to my NP5, NP12, or NP7, it's just out there all by itself! Long, somewhat narrow, and taco shaped that flares out really wide between the thumb and pinky instead of bowl shaped like we're used to seeing in a true infield pattern.

I describe it as really good for everything but not perfect for any one thing! It's a very cool glove! I'm on my work PC, found two older pics to show what I mean my taco shaped. Definitely a single hinged, traditionally worn pattern! Old school Neifi baby!

@pattar, for a 12" glove, it's substantially larger than your DD's Pro206 and her Pro1000!

Just writing that makes you sound like a glove snob, good for you!

If it plays much larger than the Pro-206 or Pro-1000 then that is not surprising since those also
have no issues with a 12" softball (for a MI at least).

Yep, but I'm sure there's a lot of folks out there that think a 12" Pro206 or Pro1000 is too small for the left side of the infield, but not us real ballers!!

Well, I have never used it on the LHS of the field, only DD, so I won't accept that compliment Right now with how my body feels most days, I would need a glove which could cover the 5/6 hole with me sitting on a chair...

I'm sure I have some side by side pics of my NP6 and a Pro1000 on my iPad at home. Here's a couple of my NP6 next to a 12.25" NP7, so yeah I think the NP6 would work at 1B for a big 12U girl.

Another option....here's a 12.75" Vinci RV1961 that I sent to Rous for a tune up. This particular glove belonged to a 6'0" giant on Anna's 16U team that pitched and played 1B. She absolutely loved this glove! For a 12.75" glove it has a very snug hand stall!
