I usually agree with Hal and leave the specifics to him. I would comment that, IMO, Cat and Ueno have more efficient mechanics than Finch.

As far as the full fledged backswing - I just stopped my DD from doing that so that she can increase her speed. It's not "wrong" it's just that my DD will not unlock her elbow as her arm is coming down (on the back side) if she does the full fledged backswing which, in turn, slows her ball down because her elbow is locked for the entire windmill.
Just something to thing about. The pre-motion is not nearly as important as what's going on in some other parts of the windmill.
