A poll might be good to see whos buying what more.
Seems there are a top 4 manufacturer.
Probably from that a % of durability stats could be formed???
I doubt a meaningful statistic could be determined from just sampling the DFP community but knock yourself out :p

Awesomeness in action!

Are there any bat manufacturer more prone to breaking sooner than others?
Jumping in uninvited here but...there are different models put out by the same manufacturer that have much different durability/breakage histories. For example the Easton Ghost vs the Easton Mako. I have two busted Ghosts in the garage and two much older Makos that are still being used for tee/soft toss work (and have been mistreated with cold weather, jugs balls, etc..). The Easton Ghosts didn't even come close to lasting this long.

Edited to add - we've only broken 1 Demarini (out of 3), 1 Mizuno (out of 2) and 2 Ghosts (out of 2). Still have 2 Easton Makos (these things are tanks/survivors) and 1 Easton Stealth that is hanging in there.

Dang, was hoping it’d be a glove question!

I can only answer for us, Anna has broken five different LXT’s, starting with a 2014 model, she‘s never broke a Ghost before, although we’ve only ever owned one Ghost, a 33” 2018 model and it’s been beat to death! Maybe we got a good one?

You’re always invited Tonk! Yep the one Mako we owned (2015?), you could beat a house to the ground with it, it’d make a good demolition tool!

Ask the college players that have a bat assigned to them.

You think they have someone looking for a 2014 Combat that almost matches their game bat to use in the cage? No. They have the bat the equipment guy handed them with their number written on it. That bat will hit live pitching, front toss, tee, plyos and the the Hack Attack.

Yes, and they have another sitting there when that fails. They dont have to wait for returns
dept to get a replacement bat to use. So they dont care about "saving" swings. One breaks, another
one is handed to them asap. So you think they care about using one for bp, soft toss and everything
else...no. Its not on their dime.

Way different mindset..cant compare someone who has bats supplied to people who dont.
