Saw a great game yesterday #1 JR College vs #8 JR College, both play and beat D1 teams. Inside each game are battles and a great one yesterday. On one team a great catcher glove to glove home to second consistent 1.6 and every now and then 1.5. Base runner first to second 2.5 I was advised by one of the dads and he also advised she had 76 attempts and 75 stolen bases with the college.
While pitcher was warming up she and others are in front of their dugout working on timing the pitcher for getting early lead off the base. Her first stealing attempt she is called out for leaving early and the throw from catcher beats her any way. Second attempt a pitch out, but catcher gets into big a rush fumbles ball twice and still throws her out a close play, it was amazing all I can say. Third attempt IMO she leaves early again not called, batter swings to protect runner and throw is there IMO, but a slow tag and she is called safe could have went either way.
A great battle between two great athletes and well worth the price of admission.
