Fast Pitch Nation (FPN) in Windsor, CT going independent

No USSSA affiliation for 2021. Will this work to heighten on the field competition or is CT softball going to resemble a statewide rec league considering the paucity of viable venues and ASA tournaments?

They are staying independent again 2022. they are still grouping teams by USSSA type levels for their tournaments. competition is still strong even in the C group though there is a lot of diversity in teams. i do not think competition has been harmed. FPN still is fantastic.

the facility is decent, but word is he treats his umpires poorly (according to a few we talked to, take it for what it is), and he seems to like to make rules up on the fly to benefit the teams that play there a lot
