I'm with you and riseball on this. Has to be more written in that rule. All new helmets that aren't completely matte are going to be "shiny".

How about a rule that states if you look closely at the helmet and you see yourself looking back it is illegal.

In addition to bat compression testing machines, tournaments will now helmet reflectivity testing equipment, too, and Tournament Directors will use this as justification to increase entry fees. Seems like a win-win for all.

So they'll be legal on overcast days, but illegal on sunny days. What about days with partial sun and variable cloudiness?

Since what you describe would be due in large part on how the wind blows I think we may be on to the perfect rule and a great complement to the enforcement of IP's.
