Back when I ran the local rec league I tried to do this after a nightmare story involving a scoreboard and a local beverage distributor. Apparently I am the only traditionalist/romantic in the game around here though.

I loved hanging numbers on the scoreboard when I was a kid. And yes, you got a ticket you could redeem for a hotdog and a popsicle. Good times.

We have an agreement with Coke to only sell coke products and in return they provided our scoreboard. Daktronics. They have a dasani and coke ad on the scoreboard

Same deal on all of ours at the HS.

Check out a a company called Sports Image. They raise the money needed to purchase and install a scoreboard. They raise 10% more than is needed and that's how they make their money. You just need to sign a contract that allows them to solicit businesses in your name. No money out of your pocket. It's great. Check it out.
