The ones that are $349 are just over priced. They aren't any better then the ones that are $299.

With the way bat manufacturers are replacing them it is basically a "buy one, get one free" deal!!!!

The reason bats are all listed at 299.99 or 349.99 is because the manufacturers tell the dealer what they HAVE to advertise it for. We can sell for anything we want, but ABSOLUTELY CAN'T advertise the bat for less. You can be stripped of the right to sell from a manufacturer their product if caught. That's why you see a lot of call for best price or stuff like that.

Once MAP policy pricing ends on a certain bat, its game on and the free for all begins.

Why bats are priced at 299.99, 349.99 or whatever...it's just manufacturers following each other. All bats were 299.99 until Easton jumped first to 349.99...but for the most part, its mostly 299

For slowpitch, its either 249.99 or 299.99

And yes, all bats are priced figuring in 2 bats

Does this mean that the manufacturer is anticipating replacing the bat on a warranty claim at least once?

Of course, bats arent made to survive anymore. They are made to perform...period. But with that comes the fact that the life of the bat has been sacrificed to get the results everybody wants.

Just to show you, go and look at some SP NR bats manufaturers sell, you can see the price difference compared to warrantied bats. You can kinda blame SP guys for a lot of this price stuff. A long time ago guys started to intentionally break bats to get the return right before a year was up to get a free return for the next model or they would find/buy/get broken bats from friends or whatever, and do fake receipts to get free bats. This didnt help bat prices.
