I find it funny that many pay $300 for a bat and don't blink an eye and not pay for lessons or how to use it correctly like any tool.
Definitely not guilty here. Most I ever paid for a bat was $50, and that was for a 2005 R/T.

What effect would the BatJack have if used on the bottom hand finger? What if it was used on both hands? I haven't tried one but I am curious if one couldn't get a really great primarily one-armed swing with it if it was on the bottom hand.
Was going to order one but when checked out website I see they went up $5 since I looked at the other week. Should have ordered before I went on vacation. Now I will save my money.
Jim just an update on the bat jack. We have played in 4 ASA Qualifiers since the kids started using them. 5 girls have them on the bats when they hit. It takes a few seconds to put some tape on the velcro. You can still move the bat jack around on the bat as the tape really doesn't serve any purpose but conforms to the rule. I put one out each game without the tape just as a test. Only one umpire asked about it and I told them it was covered under 3-1D. The bottom line the kids love it and they feel they hit the ball harder.
Speaking of gadgets, what if some sort of finger brace or sleeve or athletic tape, even, was put on the index finger to restrict it from bending until a batter felt the benefit and formed the right habit? Wouldn't that be similar?
I was thinking with the BatJack on the bottom hand the batter could really swing fast without fear of the bat coming out of their hand. Some batters can't get rid of that concern.
