Bat Inspection?

Yes, but those magic bats often have a way of appearing after the pre-game inspection.

If a player is seriously injured I have no problem with the umpires or TD holding onto the bat in case they want it to be tested, but confiscating a bat after a player gets hit in the foot seems excessive. Unless the bat is shaved it will be next to impossible for anyone to prove that the player using the bat knew it exceeded the standard.

I have never been told in any ASA tournament I have worked to confiscate the bat if a defensive player was hit by the ball.

That is because ASA has not instructed umpires or TDs to do so.

Inside pitch, I was about to comment on the same thing. 1 or 2 years ago in a LL baseball game a pitcher was hit and while they where checking on the pitcher, the dad of the batter removed the bat and put it in his trunk. The league later requested that the bat be turned in for testing. No one knows if the bat turned in was indeed the same bat that was used in the game.
This may be the reason some parks or organization would implement that rule.
