Anyone at ASA Nationals or PGF with a radar gun this week?

Would love to know what kind of pitch speeds you are seeing at ASA Nationals and PGF - especially 14U!

I'm here in Sioux Falls at the 14U nationals. I have a radar gun with me and would have been happy to take some readings, but bracket play begins tomorrow and I think it would be bad form to break it out. I've seen a lot of teams and the elite teams have pitchers who throw low 60s (my guess). There are some local SD teams with pitchers who can barely crack 50. I have seen coaches from LSU, Missouri and Auburn - seem to be very intent on one particular team with two 6 foot flame throwers. It's possible that they can hit 64.

29dad - thanks for the update and please keep me posted on what you are seeing!!! Which team does the flame throwers play for? Being an Auburn fan, I know they are losing most of their pitching staff this year, but a girl playing 14U is still several years from playing in college, so I hope they are getting some more recent graduates to add to their rotation!
