Advice about jv pitching.

This catcher is only an 8th grader so she just needs practice but it's definitely movement pitches that give her the most trouble. I told my DD to invite her over to catch for her during pitching practice.

A strike is a strike. It doesn't matter if the catcher drops it or not.

Most experienced pitchers have a catcher preference for a good reason.

Coach tried another girl behind the plate tonight who has a lot of talent but has never caught before. My DD looked like a different pitcher. No walks, passed balls or dropped strikes. It was Definitely a big improvement, this girl has a lot of potential.

To me, JV is a learning experience. Learn to control the controllable and ignore the rest. If she can do that, she will be a better pitcher in the long run.
