A true Friday Check in 5/13/16

Had All Star practice tonight. 2 REC games tomorrow followed by All Star practice. Somebody has practice on Sunday, but at this point I don't remember who.

Just got home from TB league game...furious comeback to win 10-7 under the lights! DD2 was 3-4!

Tomorrow, DD3 has rec game and my team has TB practice and TB team building following practice. Need to reunite the team in some regards because of school ball.

Sunday DD1 has a 3 game play day\friendly...too bad she only gets to play the first game as DD3 makes her First Communion.

Lots of good family time...hearing DD1 and DD3 cheer on DD2 and her team tonight during the comeback was awesome!

Forgot this week.....


DD's HS team won the semi final game Thursday. Played in the 4A State Championship game Friday that was scheduled for 1p. Weather didn't cooperate and the game didn't start until around 5p.
Happy to say they won 6-1 and are now TAPPS 4A State Champs.

We placed 2nd in our pool this weekend, beat a really strong 05 team, and held our own in bracket play against another strong 05 team that has previously kicked our team's butt. Lost 7-3 instead of the usual 12-0.

Our pool usually opens on Memorial Day weekend but they opened 2 weeks early this year. We were going to surprise our DD tomorrow but since we lost bracket game #1 and got home at 5, we went ahead and surprised her. So softball & the pool in one day - that's a good day for her.

Just a couple of quick updates...

Yesterday, our season ended. We lost our game by blowout 17-4. I spoke with coach prior to the game and said to her that I don't think I will be able to play with my elbow injury. She asked me if I was sure and I said I was. It wouldn't have made a difference whether I had played or not with how badly we played.

After I had posted my last update on here about my elbow injury, my mom called my doctor and wasn't happy that they couldn't see me. They are going to see me Monday for a second opinion before we go to Philadelphia to see the orthopedic specialist. My doctor, whom my mom talked to, said that she probably would have sent me to that specialist as well. That she is really good. So we're waiting to see what happens Monday.

Going to be a crazy weekend....have the 18U Gold Cup finals this weekend and my DW's neice is getting married in Bham. Therefore, we are headed to the tournament EARLY Saturday morning, then driving to Bham for the wedding, then driving back to McDonough Sunday morning for bracket play. They are changing the format this weekend to two pool games, double elimination.

That's a lot of Driving Congrats to your Niece! We went undefeated in the Gold Cup tournament run ruled Hoover 11 to 0 in 5 innings in winner bracket final last 4 team left were Hoover, Schnutte, and Gibson with 1 loss and we were only team left without a loss and headed to the house without playing Championship game. Played 6 games that was plenty headed to Myrtle Beach this weekend for PGF qualifier hopefully both our teams will get the berths this weekend.

lol were they? I would think they would be glad to go home at a decent hour on Sunday night. We played them 5 time so far this season and are 4-1.

LOL I'm hoping the weather allows us to play and tell your Daughter to take it easy on mine! Hopefully we both can get the births and don't have to travel anymore to get one.
