Here are a few of the topics we spoke about.
Prompted by asking these questions~
1. What do you think about pitchers can start back now?
(Pitchers only need one foot to start on pitcher rubber)
-responses:
-It will work for some others will not care for it.
-We are not forcing any change of pitchers that we have recruited into our program. Pitchers who will be recruitrd will either already be trained and successful in doing it or they will use two feet.
- it may assist taller pitchers starting off with better balance.
- we will still be looking for the same standards on control, speed and spin.
2.What are your thoughts on the rule of Leaping being introduced?
Coaches commented this.
-It may cause confusion and mess up pitchers trying to rearrange what they have already been doing thinking leaping is adding a solution rather than addressing it as part of mechanics that need to be configured in.
-We are for the growth of the game to make it more competitive.
-Less restrictions on pitchers will allow more adjustments for better results.
-Every pitcher will not need to use this adjustment.
- Pitchers tend to continue fine-tuning no matter what they are doing.
3.What do you think of the advantage of small ball?
is that still applicable in the game?
-We will resource all Talent skills on the field.
-We are always seeking speed with high
on-base percentage players that come from the faster runners.
-The efficiency of slappers in our starting lineup broadens the spectrum of what we can do and forces other teams to play our game.
-We get to use those athletes as we need to in game situations.
