There is one and only one interference that is a delayed dead ball and has the same signal as obstruction, left arm and fist straight out from body. When the plate umpire interferes with the catchers throw on a steal or pick off attempt it is a delayed dead ball and the signal is the same as obstruction. Otherwise interference is always an immediate dead ball, both hands up over head and all plays stops.
