I keep seeing where it is stated that it is a good thing to miss right (RHP) when using IR, but what is the correction that needs to be made to shift the miss to over the plate? Might have been stated in some of the earlier threads but did not find it myself so thought I would ask.

Is she too open at release?
Is there a gap between her forearm and thigh?
Is the point of her elbow pointed out or straight down?
Is she feathering the release creating a bullet spin as this can cause the fingers to get inside like a screwball.
Are her finger tips oriented outward (instead of straight down)?
Is her drag foot lagging behind preventing a nut crack?

Lots of reasons as to why this can occur.... please post a clip or PM me and Ill give you my email to send a clip to.

The correction is practice. Not trying to be funny or sarcastic. As long as her spin is pretty close to 12-6 (not bullet) then she just needs to work on finishing that final IR movement and adjusting her release to put the ball where she wants it. Learn from my mistake, working too hard to correct this "miss" will steal speed and make her release worse not better. She is most likely staying inside the ball just one tick too long, but you don't want to have her "correct" the problem by coming around the ball or starting to push the ball. One thing you can do is have her take one large step to her throwing hand side and have her throw the ball over the plate while still driving out essentially straight (she'll probably drive at a little bit of an angle). It's not really meant to change anything in her release, just to prove to her that she can throw the ball over the plate from even further to that side, so surely she can also do it from the rubber. Don't do too many of these, just enough to show her she can. Also, working with a dummy batter every time she pitches can help.

I'd agree with this, with a big IF attached to it.
Practice makes perminate not perfect (muscle memory)
She certainly needs lots of practice, but it needs to be under the watchful eye of an edjucated parent or coach. Attention to detail on all the little things!

Very true because if you keep practicing it wrong you will develop muscle memory of bad form. If you don’t know what to correct go through the stickies at top. When you fix all those form issues post a video.
