This is from the year Olerud flirted with .400. I wish there was more then what is being shown (start of the stride.load).
He gets to a perfect balanced position on what looks like a swing he hit a little out front. Perfect adjustment.

This is such a great piece of hitting. It looks like he may have gotten something off-speed, but managed to stay back. For baseball, one of the keys to hitting off-speed pitches hard is to land with a flexed front leg. This allows you to torque at the end by straightening the leg. If you land with your knee locked, it becomes a pure arm swing.

That's not an adjustment. Olerud was one of the best low and away hitters. He could hit it to any gap. That was his pitch. The only one that I saw that was better was Tony

Adjusting to a speed change conscientiously at the major league level doesn't happen
