I read coach james as saying that with internal rotation of the lead leg "into the hip socket" will create an inward/rearward movement or "rotation" of the pelvic girdle which is somewhat correct...but needs a lot of leeway or a lot more words of explanation as to all of the other factors to make it an actual, complete true statement.
But in the few words he used, and with a little imagination, I'm OK with the general idea of his statement. IOWs, the lead leg can/does "assist" in creating rearward rotation of the PG "around" the rear leg....IMO.
Do you coach the assist? And did you mean around the spinal axis? LOL Also you have a wonderful imagination!
