And this thread is a great example of how no two people seem to speak the same dialect when trying to talk about hitting. It’s maddening .

Regarding this "snapping" that is being advocated .... please explain the concept of "snap". What is the movement taking place (is it supination of the rear forearm)? Where in the swing is the action of "snap" located?

How late do you believe supination is in the swing? Do you believe one should supinate the rear forearm through impact? Try it ... you won't like it.

The focus of the forearm/wrist supinating early guarantees the barrel will dump.

Too steep

Theres a spot in between.

The rear arm adducts as pressure is applied to the handle to launch...Then supination and swivel to the ball occurs

From this I take it that the 'snap' that folks are talking about is at 'swing launch'.

Sounds similar to something Swingbuilder was advocating.

Wonder if this 'strength in the top hand' is more a use of the 'forearm'.

Supination would have that barrel much lower than this..His top hand is strong and wrist is firm here...Stacked

Is your point that if one stays behind the ball in a turn that the barrel will arc reward? Makes sense to me.

Still trying to grasp what folks mean with the term 'snapped'.

Here it sounds like snap is a description of the 'hand' and 'wrist' relationship ... or is it the 'hand' & 'wrist' relative to the 'forearm'? Can you show a photo of what you would consider a 'snapped' orientation?
