I believe there are two things happening in the side bend and hip rotation. I believe you arch the lower back and bend backwards to initiate the swing. This action brings the torso into the swing very strongly.
My point is you have to be in the correct position before turning the barrel. If you look in the swing you showed you want to be in that loaded position and heel plant. If you start prior to heel plant(leaking) or never separate or coil turning the barrel is only going to get you so far...it all has to work together and without getting to the heel plant position shown you won't recover....IMHO
You can do what you want and try and fix this position and that ect... but, if my DD this is the first thing I would address.
The 'push' /moving hands forward, when your DD should be 'turning the barrel forward towards the ball'. I would start with moving the tee closer to your DD. Then I would work on not moving the hands forward/push and work on turning the barrel right nowwww.
