I believe there are two things happening in the side bend and hip rotation. I believe you arch the lower back and bend backwards to initiate the swing. This action brings the torso into the swing very strongly.

biggest things I see are

Improper position at heel plant (as I've said 1000 times something you can't really recover from)

Lack of separation

and a really odd thing I can't describe or put my finger on but the way she holds the bat REALLY STIFF and UPRIGHT is just awkward again usually it just a style thing but I think it's contributing to her improper position, lack of separation and some of the tilt issues being discussed you can't get into the right positions with a death grip on the bat while trying to keep it perpendicular to the ground

my two cents....

If you look at sample position...you can actually pick any high level swing you want (yeah I'm going out on a limb maybe 99%) and you will see this position.

weight balanced and back...even though you have just put your front heel down, coiled around back hip, hands back, bat at an angle 45degreeish pointing somewhere between LF and CF (righty) and loaded up ready to explode. Gonna throw random pic from my library up and while there are slight difference the basics are there.

Slow motion exaggeration of the entire action:

Top of Torsion Spring loaded: Clamping/pinching scap to the spine:

The overlap: The Twist/Bend of the Torsion Spring:

NOTICE THE REAR HIP PROJECTING FORWARD as the torsion spring is twisted and bent. The leg is turning forward and will PULL from that position.

The release of a well loaded Torsion Spring:

You can do what you want and try and fix this position and that ect... but, if my DD this is the first thing I would address.

The 'push' /moving hands forward, when your DD should be 'turning the barrel forward towards the ball'. I would start with moving the tee closer to your DD. Then I would work on not moving the hands forward/push and work on turning the barrel right nowwww.

My point is you have to be in the correct position before turning the barrel. If you look in the swing you showed you want to be in that loaded position and heel plant. If you start prior to heel plant(leaking) or never separate or coil turning the barrel is only going to get you so far...it all has to work together and without getting to the heel plant position shown you won't recover....IMHO

No offense. I wasn't addressing your post in particular. I posted gifs at the start of the thread with no suggestions. I allowed others to give suggestions and now I'm giving mine. I didn't read your post because I was busy doing making gifs which do take some time.
You have what you focus on and I have what I focus on. Not saying one is better than the other. JMHO.
Now I will read your post and respond. OK.

I disagree the swing better START way before heel plant. I do believe the SWING better be STARTED before the front foot toe touches or heel plant.
So, you are saying this hitter get no separation at all:
tumblr_ou130d77Yx1usf292o1_250.gif

This hitter never uses her hands during the 'load' or the 'unloading' ever on this swing until the 'launch' or 'release' of the swing.

Rdbass,

I agree with what you are saying about the hands moving forward. She is to mechanical, load up, stop, then push the hands forward. She needs to turn the barrel more like you suggest, but also needs better overlaps or change of direction in her swing. The swing needs to be more athletic, it needs to flow better instead of the hands loading up and then "just waiting" to push forward or move forward like you suggest. Right now the swing is to mechanical. Load this and that, then turn this and that (turn the leg/hip for example). She needs to be more natural.
