I think I may go back to coaching 12U town travel. I really enjoyed the 2 evening games a week through the summer.

Boo was named Valedictorian for 2017. This along with being awarded the Scholar Athlete of the year just tops off a pretty good Senior year. She will be attending the Naval academy at the end of June so she will get to play 3 1/2 tourneys with her team East Coast Elite which makes me happy and sad. Yes that will leave an opening for a Catcher/OF.

Having Had a DD who was valedictorian and named scholar athlete of the year, I know exactly how proud you feel. Sorry, hijacked your brag post for one of my own.

Yes, she has played the last 10 years. 4 year Varsity catcher All Area the last two years and possibly All State this year. She turned down D3-D1 offers to play, opting for the USNA instead.

FWIW, In her Junior year, it's possible for her to be an exchange student at USMA and play D-1 ball for Army.

that's right. I forgot about the swap. Might be something to consider although the kids that swap get a lot of playful hazing like having all their Army swag replaced with Navy swag so I'm sure it's similar for Middies that go to USMA.

That would be pretty cool. Navy appears to be fairly strong in their conference so their is a chance and I'd have to go to those.

Navy is 18-0 this year, they won their conference and are moving on to the Regional later this month. My dds team won their conference and are headed to a different regional.

Navy beat us last year at the World Series. Looking forward to redemption this year.

The Club Softball World Series is a good tourney. 16 teams, on 8 fields so there is no waiting around, each game goes to the end as they give plenty of time for each game. I was really impressed with the defensive play last year, especially in the outfield.
