    CF8 and Bustos

    The -13 Bustos has to swing lighter than the -11 CF8 but the CF8 is a much better bat. Once your DD makes solid contact with the new bat you will see a big smile and not hear about it being any heavier.     Man I was just about to put up a great shape SCN1B 31/21 on ebay since people are paying good money for them. Guess Im going to have to put it back in the bag.

    Power Triangle

    Most of the high end hitting stuff with reference to certain muscle groups and rotation is above my understanding. But when FFS simplifies it down like he did with the rear butt cheek I totally got it. In fact when I actually physically did it the light bulb went on. Thanks!!

    Wow this is getting interesting. I am always willing to learn from any coach or anyone for that matter. Of the two athletes with bad throwing mechanics one has excellent hitting results with less then stellar hitting mechanics and the other has great hitting mechanics. I have done the water...

    16 year olds. We have been able to correct 2 of the athletes throws and they are much better now but we still have 2 that have bad mechanics and are excellent at the plate. They have the push style of throwing if that helps any. Looks painful just watching it.

    Agreed. I have also seen balls hit the plate called strikes and I have also seen hit balls that bounce off the plate called foul.

    Portable speakers blaring at tournaments

    I do not like them and in fact have told my athletes to not bring them after about 2 weeks into the season. If I have to yell instructions over the music(if thats what they call it) then its gone. Simple. Other teams can keep that distraction around them if they like.

    Time For A Rule Change!?

    Something I try to get the athletes to watch is the batters foot setup on the bunt. They usually are not in full bunt set up on a pull back. Works a fair amount of times. Some also use a different grip on the upper batting hand than they normally would. Little things to look for.
