Anyone with Experience with Triple Crown International Challenge

Echoing everything said above. It is a worthwhile event. Crowds really get in to it. Some new aspects I'll add - its an opportunity for your daughter to play with a completely new team - which is what the experience in college will be like, at first. For some, this is a new experience, for...

    Game filming travel ball games

I’m just going to ask. When filming far away without audio of an opposing team’s dugout, can a coach successfully object to the recording of a game? I’m talking recording from behind the plate and from center field. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Favorite mirrorless camera for video and lens recommendation (excluding iphone)

This is great info. This is the view you see on Flo or the big college games with the guys on the platforms. Care to share any of your shoots? Feel free to DM me if you don't want to share publicly. Thanks! ALSO - would a 70-200 work sufficiently? Maybe not quite.

That's cool. Just curious on why not NDI bridges like Birddog, Mevo Starts and OBS (just a different way to skin the proverbial cat)? I've done some pretty cool stuff with three mevo starts + NDI, OBS and a stream deck. But.... this is for streaming at High School. In club/PGF, the interest...

Favorite mirrorless camera for video and lens recommendation (excluding iphone)

Your point is well taken Josh. I would most likely be hand-holding or tripod mounting behind/through the fence. Checking out the Mokose stuff. Doesn't look like they support 60fps. Have you tried the pitcher to catcher FOV? What set up worked best?

Favorite mirrorless camera for video and lens recommendation (excluding iphone)

I like a lot of control in my clips with fidelity and speed. This is important when illustrating ball location. I use FCP to edit. I’m guessing some other people also do who work with this kind of stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Favorite mirrorless camera for video and lens recommendation (excluding iphone)

Is anyone using one of the higher end mirrorless cameras (Canon EOS R5, Fujifilm X-T4, Sony Alpha 75 III, Panasonic GH5-6, etc) for 4k 60fps (or 120) video clips? My goal is to capture the highest quality near-behind-the-plate clips of pitching possible. If you are doing this, what lens...

    Pitcher's Pocket / Net recommendations

Hi Everyone - it's time to accommodate DD with a 9 hole pitcher's pocket. She wants to do some pitching on her own. We picked up one from Amazon: The problem is, the netting is too thick and if there is are more than two balls in the pocket above, a ball going below that pocket just bounces...

Streaming / Scoring Team Manager Question

I love my Mevos. For all of their shortcomings, they are great devices at a reasonable cost for a feature such as NDI. I mix three of them through OBS with a 5G router. The quality is excellent. Now back to your question; I’ve always been of the philosophy that if I’m doing all of this work with...

Favorite Pitch Counting App (speed not necessary)

Thanks, but it's hard to hold a pitch counter with a mitt on or set it down each time to throw the ball back to DD. :) W/r to PocketRadar - I wish it allowed you to save pitches to a profiles or in batches meaning you don't have to clear history every time. I would love to be able to see how...

Favorite Pitch Counting App (speed not necessary)

Sorry, should have been clearer. What I was more so asking was, with a full schedule, how often per week were you able to practice like that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Favorite Pitch Counting App (speed not necessary)

Great insight, thanks. Question on the last part - how often were you able to practice with her? High School is already throwing a wrench in our practice schedule, as does regular travel team practice, private lessons, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Streaming - Mevo and General

Josh - what advantage on the Mevo Start does Larix give you? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Favorite Pitch Counting App (speed not necessary)

Yep, thanks for all the in-game recommendations for pitch count. We do get her game stats already from GC TM. I am most interested in pitch count from an app while we are in a practice session and something that does it automatically with iphone camera. Not something that I have to tap my...

Favorite Pitch Counting App (speed not necessary)

Thanks for the replies so far. She is 14, and going in to high school where she'll be expected to throw 7 innings. We need to build endurance right now. She can throw 57 mph accurately for a short time, but that's not sustainable. It's been suggested we don't have conversations about holding...

Favorite Pitch Counting App (speed not necessary)

Hi there DFP Community - what is your favorite pitch counting app and why? I am IOS based and need to get DD to 150 pitches per practice session. I already have Pocket Radar Smart Coach and can't understand why it doesn't have pitch count built in other than any difficulty involved in...

Someone explain this to me Hitting Hype

When I read this, I thought of Dinihoo. What that girl did was amazing and her enthusiasm level matched her level of play. Each team has their "thing." However, I wasn't really in to the whole Gladiator, grabbing of the dirt. That being said, I far preferred that to some of the totally...
