    High School Playoffs

    Won the 3a state championship in our state last week! We went back to back after winning it last year as well... We finished the last two years with a combined record of 61-4. Id say that is not to bad!

We just finished winning back to back state championships in 2016-17, the girls are treated phenomenal. they got out of school to hang out in a hotel for several days, practice at other high schools...

    While we are at it, I am also not a fan of the opposing teams bringing buckets that are used as make shift drums to play the entire game. Artificial noise makers are not allowed in our state, but not all umpires enforce this...

    Coached against her in HS ball when she played for New Hope... She was great... Her team mate, Holifield, ended up signing with Southern MS. A lot of talent on that New Hope Trojan team!

    I'm not advocating the amount of practice time being spoken of, but at my school, we have an athletic block last period. We begin practice at 1:45 and are finished by 4 normally.     One thing we do for the noise, which can happen during our north state or state championship games, is pipe in loud music through our speakers.... Helps to provide some chaos and see how the girls, and I, respond.

    Thats a very good point I did not consider, Riseball... I wasnt thinking about school/team doctors, but you are likely correct on that.

    Hand signals are fine with me as long as the runner knows what they mean and you have practiced, but my hand signals are ALWAYS mixed with my voice. Why leave anything to chance?

    I'm not sure HIPPA rules would be in place for Patrick Murphy in this case, as they pertain mainly to healthcare providers... I'm sure UA and the coach are just respecting the privacy of the individual, but I dont think it has anything to do with HIPPA.
