I hope the new rule doesn't lead to more of this. That is obviously crow hopping. Easy call. I am assuming this is college ball. Amazes me that she can get away with it.
You're right. Easy call, but I truly believe many umpires can't see it. I think they're looking at upper body only.I hope the new rule doesn't lead to more of this. That is obviously crow hopping. Easy call. I am assuming this is college ball. Amazes me that she can get away with it.
That's where it's headed
Agree to disagreeBetter than where it was at.
We are headed this way as soon as Pitchers learn how to pitch this way. That's where it's headed
Well, Focus on the Ball and hit it.... is sound advice but incomplete what about the pitchers. What are the pitchers and pitching coaches thinking when they see a new set of rules from what they have taught? Pitchers can not take the advice "Just Pitch the ball"Thankfully there are those that are not concerned about the pitchers feet.
That said,
Beyond the rules sticklers and their frustration with umpires inconsistency.
Includes the fact that how umpires are umpiring is part of the game.
Now... here it comes...
There is still the game to be played!
How many people are willing to take a moment, think it through,
to realize even IF pitchers Crow Hop
Batters can still hit the ball !!!
( even an illegal pitch can be hit)
Reality is pitchers all have their unique pitching motion and batters timing it. Which includes pitchers driving off the rubber, sometimes back toe in the dirt sometimes not. Sometimes there's a hole in front of the rubber so they're not going into a pit they're just going across it.
Pitchers of different heights, that makes a difference to timing because strides and drive distance can be different, arm Circle can be different.
Basically batting, timing the pitcjer is always a little different.
So i comment again
FOCUS ON THE BALL AND HIT IT !!!
