Serious meltdowns yesterday. LSU pitcher could not throw a ball to Intentionally Walk the batter. (I saw this happen in a HS playoff game. Girl took it over the fence.) Why didn't the catcher call time out and get with the pitcher after the first 3 pitches over the plate? Throw Hi Rise balls.

Same thing in the McNeese/Washington game. Vallejo was not as sharp as she was earlier in the game and you could see it. Stop the insanity please!

Perhaps simply Roll the ball.

Yep. I can be a bit unobservant at times, but it was clear even to me that Vallejo was spent by the end of the 6th inning. Granted the drizzle was a factor, but I think that loss can be hung on the coach.

Yep. I can be a bit unobservant at times, but it was clear even to me that Vallejo was spent by the end of the 6th inning. Granted the drizzle was a factor, but I think that loss can be hung on the coach.

I can see giving Vallejo a bit of rope in the 7th with a 6 run lead, but she was consistently getting behind hitters and when I saw some of the hard contact, I was surprised the coaches didn't lift her for reliever. She was already well over a 100 pitches in what also had to be a very high stress game.

6-2 San Diego State was up by 4 late in the game. Think it was the 7th inning first batter for Liberty came up and hit a home run. San Diego countered by putting in a fresh pitcher.

Ok, so I guess she is lying. This kid must have a history of misbehaving and telling fibs..

If she did something negative, then she should get tossed. If a college baseball player did it they would get tossed too but I doubt it would be blasted all over the internet..

I would blame it on every time she pitched she heard her 10 or 12u coach saying in her head saying “we need strikes”

she pointed and said "you made the right call" twice......it was pretty easy to see from the CF cam exactly what she was saying
