Some of those numbers dont make sense to me.
Bat speed 71.8 Exit speed 67
63.4 70
84 73
65.8 73
How can an 84 mph bat speed end up with the same exit speed as a 65.8 mph bat speed?

I believe some of the difference or variances comes from different bat manufacturers. Some bats are simply better than others.

Also, some of the difference comes from different bat weights. For instance a girl may have a slower bat speed if she swings a 34-8 than a girl that swings a 33-10. To put it simply exit velocity with the same bat should be higher with the heavier bat if the bat speed is the same. Of course a lot of the exit velocity has to do with barreling the ball up on the sweet spot.

Personally I don't put much emphasis on bat speed in these types of data bases. Exit velocity is the important number.

My dd got timed at a sec camp when she was a hs sophomore at 2.5 home to first using the laser setup. Followed it up with some 2.7’s.

She is pretty fast. She is not that fast. I knew it, she knew it, but I guess it’s ok to pretend it is true.

Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.

I am sure there is some error in the measurement plus some of the kids may not be barreling up the ball.
"ODM is trusted by player, parent, travelball and college coaches."
Why would there be error in the measurement. These numbers makes no sense.
So some of the top 25 players in the country failed to barrel up the ball off the tee? She swung the bat 84 mph and produced an ball exit speed of only 73 mph. So, she rolled it over with a crappy bat?
And the other player barreled up her super duper hot bat 65.8 mph and also produced a 73 mph exit speed?
Ready to call out John McEnroe.

So wtf is your explanation? They “took the jab..”??!

All measuring devices have inherent error and there can be user error. I don’t give a flying fu@$ what their pamphlet says.

I think in logic and science..not conspiracy theories. However if we want to go the "multiple shooter" route, the only other options other than what has been given (and you "poo pooed.." ) are that somebody fudged the numbers or there was an error in transcription. In other words either a shady character (whose motivation I would have a hard time guessing) or an incompetent moron (of which there are plenty..)

The link says "bat speed" not "exit velo". Thinking those are not the same. It is interest to compare how many sub-2.9s 20yd dashes to how many girls post they are 2.6-2.7.
Fastpitch Media vids, have no girls over 3.0 to 1B. Very rare occurrence.

Just to be clear, dd is sub 3 seconds. No need to split hairs. Not 2.5. No way no how. THERE IS, however, a piece of paper in a file cabinet somewhere that says she is. And it doesn’t matter. Not even if it was put into a spreadsheet and published online.
