Most pitches the spin moves away from the strike zone.I wonder if the batter moving up affects the umpire’s perception of the strike zone. If the strike zone remains unchanged by the batter’s position, a drop ball at the batter’s shoulders could very well be a strike when it crosses the plate. Seems like it might be an advantage for the catcher to have the batter in the front of the box also.
Starts in the zone from pitchers hand and spins away from the zone.
Drops without lateral movement are straight pitches.
Less adjustment needed to hit. Bee line pitch if up in zone. CRUSH
Find that drops are better used as chase pitches low.
Lefty slappers intentionally go to the front of the box.
Do believe how a catcher frames pitches can help big time. Cutting off edges
Vs
take away pitches not doing so.
Umpires are too inconsistent to make an equal comparison amongst them on strike zone area.
